I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
